The first episode is entitled "Angels" and I believe it hails from the DuMont Network.

Enjoy! ~John

I only have later episodes (ie The ones in colour, from ABC) I get a lot of stuff from the Internet like eBay and Amazon but I'm also quite active on VHS trading websites and conventions so I find a lot of material there.

Mr. Q, if you have anymore of B/W episodes, that would be good. They an show of his up on IA a few months before you join on "little family" but it went away I think.

Thanks..I watched it via online video player and gave it 4/5. Bit of a atypical episode, but enjoyable on several levels.

Thanks for the review! It seems that the Kinescope I got my hands on is missing footage.

Unfortunatetely, the kinescope seems to be missing footage, and I know that it came from an affiliate DuMont station, so maybe they added an extra advertising break?

That is possible. I have seen some very strange prints from the 50's/60's (though only as digitised copies from archivist "friends" (not the sitcom) as old film prints of any kind are sorta hard for me to acquire in the forested area I live in). I once saw a "Ozzie and Harriet" (ABC) episode that featured one commercial left in, but was still left to run 23 minutes! Still trying to make sense of that. There some other odd ones I've heard about...

Yes, this too was a digitised copy from a few sources I have available to me.

I know that Affiliate DuMont stations were allowed to "cherrypick" which TV shows they wanted to air, and were allowed to insert their own advertising breaks to maximise on sponsorship.
